we need more wine!
wow wow wow. that's all i can say. killer weekend. too much fun! let's start at the very beginning. actually, first, a bit of bad news. a death in the family, perhaps my most prized possesion in london.... my ipod. at some point during the starsailor gig it developed an incurable disease. well, that's a lie, the disease is quite curable if i want to sell my soul to the devil, aka the apple fix-it people. but for the ££s they want, it's just not worth it. i'm exploring my options for the next three months but who knows. I’m really surprised that I’m not more upset about it… perhaps my mind’s just too occupied on other faces and other places….anyway, everyone keeps asking what i'm going to do with my job's offer to keep me on. the answer is.... i don't know. ha, hate to sound like lelaina in 'reality bites' but sadly that is the truth. i've had so much drama over the past week i haven't even begun to think about it... and there's so much to consider i'm kind of just putting it off. oh well. ahhhh so the weekend. friday was the hottest day yet this year in london... and it was great!!! everyone at work complained all day but i thought it was marvelous. i was pouting after work about my ipod when the love of my life, mr brian kelly, phoned and said to get my deada$$ to his place so we could head down to nicola's BBQ. perfect day for it!!! met nicola's extended south african crew and had some great food and discovered my new favorite wine thanks to mr. kelly. ;) then we met up with michael, lousie and ron for some g-a-y excitement. and sweating... is the astoria just allergic to the idea of AC? danced to a little shania twain before exploring late night soho.
saturday i headed up to portobello for nearly twelve hours of chatting with rebecca! (Rebecca – incidently is about to visit roanoke, va… the very same roanoke, va where I was born and breed…. Smalllll world.) we were both so jealous of her husband, jack, as he headed off to see dj jazzy jeff!!! not kidding! i found out later that sadly uncle phil did not make an appearance. it's almost scary that rebecca and i talked the entire day and probably could have chatted all through the night as well. :) :) leos rule.and then sunday. sunday bloody sunday! another bbq, only this time at melrose place, aka knolly's house in russell square. ahhhh if only i lived there and was a full-fleged cast member instead of a special guest star! all the residents were in attendance, brian, tomasz, michael, louise, gitta, raj and phil... and then about 30 guests by the end of the night! wonderful food and loooooooooots of wine!!!! Many shots of vodka also made an appearance, and I can’t wait to see the pictures…. Brian and I continued our quest to eternally be adolescent girls, making ourselves laugh over and over with silly games…. Hahahaha. Hilarious.
Woke up monday morning, half-on/half-off brian’s couch, brian was on the floor with Murphy, and tomasz was in bed with any number of lovely ladies!!! Hahaha. Got a very brief cuddle with the murph-amator before the very very painful tube ride home. And by painful, I mean humiliating, as everyone was giving me the look of pity since I was obviously in a lot of pain. Haha.
Spent five solid hours in bed recovering from the craziest night of all time before meeting up with Patrick in Leicester square. It was a beautiful day… perfect for sitting around and chatting. I’m looking forward to rides on the Vespa. ;) saw ‘melinda and melinda’… very good movie, sad and uplifting all at once. Nothing will beat the star wars experience, however. Can’t stop thinking about that amazing movie. kinda want to see it again, but is that too nerdy?
Came home to collapse in bed only to *finally* talk with brian…. who shocked me with the most startling news… he fractured his knee at some point during the party! Ahhhhh you know you’ve had the most successful party of all time when people are leaving on crutches! Toooooo crazy!!!!
Anyway, big week ahead. J and it’s already Tuesday!
